2019 Summer Campout
Get your camping gear ready, the UTA campout is right around the corner! This year, we
will be camping at Red Creek Reservoir near Fruitland from June 21-22, 2019. This year, we
are excited to have as our camp hosts Chase and Bill Brereton. We know they have gone above
and beyond getting things ready for the campout.
At Red Creek Reservoir, there will be places for you to park your trailers and also spots
to set up tents. There are four-wheeler trails, along with places to go fishing. Port-A-Potties
will be provided by the UTA. If you are not sure where Red Creek is located, please see the directions
below** or map to the right. There will also be UTA campout signs posted along the road to direct
you to the campsite. If you have questions regarding directions to the campout, you can call Chase
at (435)671-2831.
Saturday, we will have our traditional shooting contests. These include: shotgun, rifle, and
.22. Please bring your own guns and bullets if you would like to compete. We will have a category
for the adults and also for the kids. We will also have a big fish competition. Fish can come
from any lake, stream, or river. You will need to be a member to compete in the shooting contests.
Trophies for the top shooters will be awarded at the campout during our Dutch Oven Dinner.
The UTA Dutch Oven Dinner will be some of the best food you will eat all summer long. We will
have dinner Saturday evening around 6:00 pm. This is a pot luck dinner. Please bring your
favorite camping dish to share with everyone. It can be anything from Dutch oven chicken, peach
cobbler, and we can’t forget about the amazing Dutch oven potatoes. Come hungry!
After dinner, we will have the opportunity to sit around a campfire with good friends,
share stories and make s'mores. The campout is a very fun time to spend with friends and
make memories. We would love to see more people at the campout. Everyone is welcome to
come regardless if you are a UTA member. So, come to Red Creek Reservoir for a weekend
getaway; we would love to see you there!
The date for the convention is September 6th & 7th, 2019, at the Nephi, Utah Fair Grounds.
We are in the process of getting things in line for that. At a later date, we will be sending
out a mailing regarding the convention details and also raffle tickets to sell.
As new officers in the UTA, we are excited to start a new chapter in the UTA’s history.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
